Kapchagay Karaganda Highway

The Karaganda-Kapchagay highway with a total length of 975 kilometres runs from Karaganda, the capital of the Karaganda region situated 230 kilometres south-east of Kazakhstan’s capital Astana, to Kapchagay, situated 76 kilometres from the city of Almaty. It forms part of Kazakhstan’s government efforts to modernise the road infrastructure and improve connectivity within the country.
